International Conference on Emerging Infectious Diseases

ICEID 2022 Updates: Abstract Deadline, Conference Format

Dear Colleagues,

We continue to look forward to ICEID 2022 and have two updates to share concerning the conference.

First, the deadline to submit abstracts for poster and oral presentations has been extended. Abstracts should now be submitted no later than October 15, 2021.

Second, due to the uncertainty of predicting COVID-19 infection activity in early 2022, the conference will now be offered as a hybrid event, allowing for both in-person and online attendance.

Hybrid events offer attendees and speakers a choice in how they participate. For those who would like to attend in person, the conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia, March 6-9, 2022. Those who prefer not to travel can participate virtually. Refer to the registration page of the conference website to indicate your preferred type of attendance.

The virtual solution replicates the on-site experience via its interactive platform. Participants will have the opportunity to view both oral and poster presentations. Question-and-answer sessions, live polling, and other ways to network with your peers will be offered.

The conference content is developed through abstract submissions. Selected oral presenters will have the opportunity to present in person or virtually. Poster presentations will be pre-recorded, allowing participants the opportunity to view and ask presenters questions during poster sessions.

Having an opportunity to convene with public health professionals from around the world to encourage the exchange of the latest information on issues affecting the emergence, spread, and control of infectious disease is more important than ever. Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of this important conference.
